I'm pretty sure there are people who purchased Guildwars for Christmas gift, so that you could play with your friends.
For me, all of my characters are in post sear...and some of them, finished all missions.
So, I had an idea that you could travel back to pre sear with "voluntary" character level adjustment.
What I meant by character level adjustment is that you will be able to adjust your character level just as same as your attribute.
So, for example, you will have to reduce your character's level back to "level 5" in order to travel back to pre sear; giving you chance to meet your friend from pre sear without character delete/recreation(You can always travel back to post sear and adjust your level back to max level).

I am aware of few problems this will create.
-Your weapon demage will go back to default(since you are underleveled), but you will have an "armour" that will give you upper hand compare with new pre sear characters.

-Possible trade scam...where people bring items from post sear and scams new people in pre sear.

-You will have upper hand with variety of skills you have acquired from post sear.

To solve these problems...
-Characters from post sear will have a special visible marker on their characters in pre sear. Those characters will have their trade window option completely disabled.

-You will be able to help your friends with pre sear quests/missions...but you will not be able to enter academy with them.

I thought this would be very nice...because not only you can help your friend out from earliest stage...but you can enjoy pre sear all the time.

In theory it's a good idea... helping others is always good. The problem i have is you havn't dealt with the better armour. If someone goes back and helps others it could cause the pre-searing player not really getting the "hang" of it as quickly and may cause co-dependency. Armour makes alot of difference when you're fighting (very) low level mobs with 15k armour you wouldn't really take any damage.. So if it was changed so that you either need armour from pre-searing (7 al one) or you temporarily get you're post searing armour "confiscated". Then it would work excellently IMHO

Good idea but how about this the people who come down can not use skills at anytime and cannot leave the town and this would be a once a year event

Don't "confiscate" armor because some unlucky bloke out there would accidently go pre-sear and have his new 15k/fissures taken. Make it so the armor is put into your inventory and you cant equip it. OR put into your xunlai storage and if its full it would automatically add slots for it.

Um...i dont want to be a party pooper, but why wouldnt they just make a new character to help with, then delete it later, ya know, like people have been doing since the game came out.....

What they should do is just add something like a temporary outpost where you can party and stuff is handed out hourly/every two hours or something like that, getting drunk off "egg nog" and stuff, sorta' like Grotto, but for all. :L
